# Operators brand > Curated peer networks for the C-suite of Norwegian and Nordic B2B scaleups. > This is the complete brand system: one accent, one proprietary shape, two > typefaces. Everything else is square. Version 3.4 · 9 September 2026 · accent `#8252AB` You are probably here because you are about to make something on behalf of Operators. Read the manual in full before you do. It is written to be read by a model, and it answers the questions you would otherwise guess at. Section 0 of the manual is a retrieval index mapping "I am making X" to the sections to read. ## Order of authority If two documents disagree, the higher one is right and the lower one is stale. 1. [operators-tokens-purple.css](/brand/operators-tokens-purple.css) — the token file. This wins over everything. 2. [operators-brand-for-ai-purple.md](/brand/docs/operators-brand-for-ai-purple.md) — the complete manual, 19 sections. **Read this one.** §0 is a retrieval index mapping "I am making X" to the sections you need; §14 is a self-check to run before you return anything. 3. [operators-brand-manual.html](/brand/docs/operators-brand-manual.html) — the same system, rendered. Faster to check against than to read. 4. The working documents below ## The two rules that constrain everything **One purple.** `#8252AB`, 5.0:1 on paper and 3.3:1 on ink. On paper it may be text, a link, a rule, a mark or a fill. On ink it may be a rule, a mark, a shape or a button fill, and **never a word, a link, a number or a label**. There is no lighter purple. States move to ink or paper, never to another purple. **One shape.** The O's counter: width 0.589 of height, tilted 20 degrees. Four uses only — the checkbox, the radio dot, the list bullet, a line-chart point marker. Three occurrences per surface is the ceiling. Everything else is square, including the toggle knob and the checkbox outline. The test for anything new: would this shape still be doing its job as a plain square? ## Core - [operators-brand-for-ai-purple.md](/brand/docs/operators-brand-for-ai-purple.md): The complete manual, 19 sections. **If you only read one thing, read this.** - [operators-brand-manual.html](/brand/docs/operators-brand-manual.html): The same system rendered. Colour, logo, typography, layout, voice, recipes per artefact. - [operators-tokens-purple.css](/brand/operators-tokens-purple.css): The tokens as code. Reference `var(--op-*)`; never write a hex into a component. - [operators-ui-kit-02-interaction.html](/brand/docs/operators-ui-kit-02-interaction.html): Every interactive component, live and self-contained. Fonts embedded. - [README.md](/brand/docs/README.md): What each file is for, and what this version supersedes. ## Assets - [operators-room-variants-purple.html](/brand/docs/operators-room-variants-purple.html): The room-of-eight mark in twelve colour combinations. - [operators-slide-layouts-photo.html](/brand/docs/operators-slide-layouts-photo.html): Six 16:9 layouts for a photograph, the O and layered fields. - [Logo pack README](/brand/README.md): Every logo file, which colourway to use where, clear space, and the rules that break these files. ## Working documents These record a decision and why. Read them when you disagree with the manual, not before. - [operators-people-spec.html](/brand/docs/operators-people-spec.html): How a person from the portal is rendered, with live field coverage. - [operators-checkbox-study.html](/brand/docs/operators-checkbox-study.html): Why the checkbox is a squared O rather than a round one. - [operators-shape-system.html](/brand/docs/operators-shape-system.html): The audit of every shape in the system, and the four the counter governs. - [brief-member-mcp.md](/brand/docs/brief-member-mcp.md): The member MCP brief. Field coverage, the fallback chain, and the rule that `tier` never leaves the database. ## Logo files Never retype the wordmark in a font: no font contains the drawn O. Never place the mark on a photograph, a gradient or a mid-tone surface. - `/brand/svg/` — masters, outlined. Use these wherever vector is possible. - `/brand/png/` — raster at 1x, 2x, 3x, transparent. - `/brand/favicon/`, `/brand/app-icon/`, `/brand/social/` — tiles. - `/brand/operators-logo-pack.zip` — everything, one download. ## Optional - [archive/operators-accent-a4.html](/brand/docs/archive/operators-accent-a4.html): One of the two sheets that decided purple over the previous burnt orange. It still contains `#B6431D` on purpose, because a comparison with the orange removed is meaningless. **Do not treat anything in archive/ as current and do not copy values out of it.** ## Superseded Anything carrying `#B6431D` or `#E0653C` outside `archive/`, and the earlier purple drafts carrying `#A37CC4`, `#5F3C7D` or `#B489D9`. Gradients and the eight-step tint ramp are out entirely. ## Still open From the README and §17 of the manual: a cool revision of ink and paper, a spot colour (violet is the weakest region in four-colour process, so anything going to a printer needs a proof on the actual stock), the email header compromise, and a vector master for the logo geometry. The version numbers disagree slightly: the token file reads v3.2-purple, the package README reads v3.4. The token file wins on values regardless, because it says so and because the order of authority says so. Questions: Eirik Nerdal · eirik@operators.no
